FAQ (to be updated)

We follow the advises of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (in Dutch: RIVM) in Holland. From the Q&A page of the RIVM website:

I want to visit/organise an event. Do I need to take precautions?

It is important to follow the standard measures that apply to all viruses that can cause flu and colds:

  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Cough and sneeze on the inside of your elbow
  • Use paper handkerchiefs
  • New measure: stop shaking hands

Anybody that is interested in learning how to face and/or body paint should attend the European Face and Body art Event. We offer beginner classes for those new to the art to advanced classes for the experience face and body painting artist. Anybody interested in learning new skills, advancing their current skills and elevating them to the next level is invited to come join us. Classes and workshops are adjusted to meet both beginner and experienced face painters. The Super Jam on Saturday night is part of the fun, so come with lots of ideas to practice. All students must be over 16 years of age if they come alone, or over 12 years of age if they attend together with an adult.

More information about the tickets for the weekend and the Full Day classes can be found on our ticket page: EFABE shop.

Expect LOTS OF FUN and fellowship with over 100 painters from around Europe and an abundance of inspiration and education from some of the best painters in the business! Expect to learn by doing, more than you can imagine, be mesmerized by the incredible artwork and be filled with an incredible amount of inspiration and creativity.

Please let us know if you are a first time student by sending us an e-mail at info@efabe.eu. We will make sure to give you some extra attention and hook you up with more experienced students.

  • Bring your painting kit or a preferably a mini version of your kit, or at the very least a few pots of paint and a few brushes and sponges to practice.  Also bring baby wipes to clean your arms and hands.
  • EFABE will provide you face paints during the workshops. But not during our evening programs or the Full Day classes. The Face paints are sponsored by the brands that are used by the different instructors. So you will get to try different brands and types of face paint.
  • Bring a (laminated paper) practice head so you can paint along with the instructors. It’s the best way to learn from our workshops. You can also practice on your arm or buy a 3d practice head in our Vendor Room.
  • Pack a camera (and memory card(s) to take pictures (you are not allowed to film the class) and pack some paper and pen to take notes. The information in the workshops is priceless but can be  overwhelming. The photos and notes that you took during the workshops, will help you remind all information when you’re back home. During EFABE there will be a photo team taking pictures, but these will be more general (end results, overall atmosphere etc.).
  • EFABE hosts a large market place and brings together different brands of paints, brushes, glitter, stencils, make up shops and everything that makes a face painter’s heart jump :-). So don’t forget your shop money. Most of our vendors also accept card payments and there is an ATM machine at a 200 meter distance from the hotel.
  • You will be meeting lots of fellow artists and instructors. If you like, you can bring business cards and examples of your work.
  • Clothes wise: Wear a top that leaves your arms free (to practice) and comfortable pants / skirt. March weather in Holland is hard to predict. It can be a nice 20 degrees and sunny but also almost freezing and stormy. So take the weather forecast into account when packing your clothes :-).

  • All of the weekend workshops are hands-on (you can practice along with the instructor during the workshop). For these bring a compact kit as table space is limited, but at least some brushes, sponges and baby wipes. We will provide face paint and water cups.
  • Bring your own paint to the jam, it will give you a wonderful opportunity to try new products other painters are using and to learn how to use the ones in your kit.

If you have signed up for a Full Day class, you need to bring your own kit.

  • Yes you can.
